Easter Morning!

This Easter ended up being a little crazy because I had to work the night before and the kids were up before I got home. So, we had to distract the kids and told them we found the Easter baskets on the back steps (where they never go!). Luckily they believed it and still had that excitement of seeing the baskets. Carlo's friend Addison came over for a short egg hunt, and the eggs with candy in them got divided between the kids. We also had another surprise that morning. There were 2 Easter baskets on our front porch from our neighbors Nicole and Dina for the kids! We are so lucky to have such great neighbors!

That evening Carl made homemade raviolis and our friends Tracy, Adam and Addison and our other neighbor Carla came over for Easter dinner. It was so nice and the raviolis were delicious! Carl was even able to impress Carla who is from Sicily, Italy with them!

Dyeing Easter Eggs With Carlo and Sophia

The kids were so excited to dye Easter eggs, so we did them one night after their bath as a treat. They had so much fun and they of course ended up with rainbow hands! Unfortunately, the eggs were on the counter in the kitchen and when Carl got up the next morning he realized that Oliver had eaten 9 of 10 Easter eggs! We ended up doing another batch and luckily Oliver didn't get sick!

I Can See Clearly Now the Snow Is Gone!

My Other Little Artist

Both Carlo and Sophia love, love to draw, color and paint. If they have the choice they decide to do one of those. I think she sat there for about an hour coloring.

Carlo's 6th Birthday Party!

Carlo decided his party theme would be Ben 10 this year. Some neighbor friends and some school friends were able to come. The kids seemed to have so much fun and they even got to eat jello without hands! They loved it! Carlo was sad to see it end. He is already planning next year!

Abraham Lincoln School Dance

Carlo's school had a dance last year and it was a big hit with all the kids. So they decided to have another one this year. The kids practice different dances in gym so it is great to watch the kids "get down"! Carlo and Sophia had so much fun with their friends and were exhausted afterwards but it was well worth it! They can't wait until the dance next year!

Welcome Home Sergey!

Our neighbor, friend Galena had a welcome home party for her husband (our friend) Sergey. We had pizza to get everyone together and have a good time. The kids really love Galena and Sergey, as all the kids do. Sergey is always playing with the kids outside and Galena always has a hug for all of us. We are very lucky to have such wonderful people as neighbors.
