Thanksgiving Day at the Mazzarelli's

I love Turkey Day!

We decided to have a quiet day at home this Thanksgiving. It was so nice to relax and just spend the day at home. Carl made the dinner and I made pumpkin pie for dessert. I got Carlo and Sophia turkey placemats and they loved them! The table looked great and everything was so yummy! While we missed spending the holiday with our family and friends the day could not have been more enjoyable with good food and snuggling in our jammies!

BREAKFAST AT GOVERNORS

11/21/07

We had breakfast one morning at a local diner called Govenors with our new friends Bridget and Wakely. They have 2 little girls Addsion and Ella. Carlo and Addison go to Pre-K together and Ella is about 3 months younger than Sophia. Sophia and Ella hit it off and had a great time eating eggs together and playing with the balloons our nice waiter gave them. Bridget and I decided that we have really cute kids... but we are biased of course! Ha Ha!

Pizza Night at the Mazzarelli's

Our pizza nights have held strong every Friday! It is so much fun for both the kids and the parents. I really do love having people over at our house, I just think it is warm and homey! Well the tradition continues, and we have fun trying new pizza places too! Of course the beer helps when te kids get too rowdy! Hee-hee!

Our First Snow - 11/16/07

Our first snow was very exciting and unexpected. While it did not last very long and did not stick too well, Carlo insisted on going outside to catch snowfalkes on his tongue. It didn't lay but we did get quite a bit of ice afterwards and the next morning.

We decided it was time to carve the pumpkins we got at the pumpkin patch and make jack-o -lanterns. Carlo, Hannah and Allie (with the help of Travers and I) created their own jack-o-lanterns. After finishing their works of art (well Travers and I did most of the work!) Hannah and Carlo decided to make lollipop ghosts! Once again, a fun filled day!

Halloween Night with the Gang

10/31/07

We started our evening at Becca and Travers for potluck dinner with kid friendly food. I brought finger sandwiches in the shape of ghosts and beer for the adults! The group consisted of our family, Christine, Kieth, & McKayla; Becca, Travers, Hannah and Allie; Bridget, Addison and Ella; Heather, Cameron and Conner and later met up with Xenia, Bill and their girls Sylvia & Leila; and Tracy and Addison (Carlo's friend across the street). Oh, and Carlo decided at the last minute he did not want to be Spiderman but "Bone Man/Vampire". Needless to say it was easier to go along with his request and Carl painted his face. I was a devil (very simple) and Carl was a psycho with a mask (again vey simple!) The weather was not too cold but became quite windy. We trick or treated all over "Little City"and the kids made out pretty good!

Heather is one of my new friends from work in the NICU and she was nice enough to invite our family to her Halloween party. It was so great, the kids had a great time. They were required to come in Halloween attire... Carlo was Spiderman and Sophia was a fairy princess. They played games and decorated ghost cookies. At the end of the night they got some Halloween treats!

Our friends Becca and Travers made mention of a really cool "pick your own pumpkin patch" about 1 hour north of Bangor. We thought all the kids would love to do that so we made the trip to "Thomas' Farm". Christine, Keith, McKayla and Kristian went, our family, and Becca, Traver, Hannah and Allie lead the way. We had a great time... the weather was perfect and the view was awesome!
