Carl's (Daddy's) Birthday
The morning of Carl's birthday Carlo and Carl went to City Forest/ Bog Walk in Orono to do some hiking. It ended up thunderstorming but they still got about 45 minutes out of the trip. That evening we went for some Mexican food with The Darcy's for a birthday celebration! (Carl's fav!) Then we had a cake I made at home for desert with all our neighbor friends. And this year his birthday was on Father's Day so the kids gave him some cool gifts for that too.

Little City's Annual Picnic in the Park
Every year to kick off the summer our neighborhood has a picnic in the park the last day of school. Everyone brings food, the kids play games and we all eat a lot! The food was great and there is always something for everyone. Fortunately, there was great weather this year!

Phia trying to "sneak" drinking soda!

Sophia's dolphin. Leave it to her to not get her face painted at face painting!

Every year I get so excited when my peonies bloom. They are so beautiful and fragrant! I put 2 vases in the house and it made the house smell so good. Unfortunately they don't hang around long so I enjoy them while they last!

Abraham Lincoln's School Fair
Carlo's school has a fair every year to raise money for the school. All the kids have a lot of fun playing games, face painting and a cake walk. The cake walk is like musical chairs, when the music stops and your are on the letter they pick you win a cake. Carlo won a Boston Red Sox cake! He was so excited, and the cake was yummy too!

Memorial Day at Sebec Lake (Sebec, Maine)

This Memorial Day we went to our friends camp in Sebec, situated on the lake. It was beautiful! This was our first time there and we were all excited to be there. Our friends Bill and Xenia go to their camp almost every weekend and Carl and I finally had a day off to go as a family. We stayed for the day and headed back to Bangor that evening. After a day of fishing, swimming and kayaking the kids were exhausted. Needless to say it was an early bed night for them!

Sophia about 3 minutes away from camp!

Taking a break from the pole and using the net. Over the course of the day he actually caught about 3 small fish. And the net had holes in it!

Sophia's Last Day at Children First Montessori

We decided to take Phia out of her school for the summer since she will be going to Abraham Lincoln School (Pre- K) this fall. This is the school she has been going to for the past 2 years so it was an emotional day. She is very excited to ride the bus in the fall and Carl and I are happy to not pay tuition anymore!

Roller Skating on Grant St.

The ghetto roller skates! Carlo's skates were too small and his friends were roller skating, so he was very upset. Carl took the roller skates and cut the front off! They fit and he was happy until Saturday when we could get him a new pair.

My little roller skaters!

Tough girl!

My Little Money Makers
Carlo wanted to have a lemonade stand one beautiful day. So Sophia, Carlo and Silvia had a cute little stand out in front of the house. Carlo actually made $3.75! He was so proud. I am sure this will be the first of many lemonade stands this summer.

Who wouldn't buy lemonade from this face!?

The kiddos working hard! I am pretty sure they drank about half of the lemonade!

Sophia's Birthday Party

Well we kept it small this year. We only had 3 kids other than Sophia at the party. This was OK with me because the 3 girls that came were who she always plays with. It was low key and they had so much fun! The theme was Strawberry Shortcake!

Blowing bubbles outside (gotta love the Dollar Store!)

Sophie with her Mom, Silvia and Phia enjoying the nice weather.

Happy Birthday Phia!
