Our neighbors across the street Galena and Serge had their grandaughter Leah for the 3 months over the summer. Galena and Serge are just the nicest people and love all the kids in the neiborhood. Well Sophia just loved Leah when she met her. Leah did not speak any English when she first came here (she speaks Russian with her parents and with her grandparents) Galena and Serge hae also been teaching English as well. Sophia and Leah had so much fun playing together. Their favorite thing to do was play with sidewalk chalk across the street or at our house. One afternoon they were playing they decided to have popsicles on the front porch. I have to say it was one of the cutest things I have seen in a while. Leah was very shy when she was first here and had really made progress with being social. Well she did become friends with one of the biggest social butterflies! Leah had to go back to Boston to be with her Mom and Dad the last week of August. Sophia was sad she could not play with her anymore, but Galena said she would be back next summer!

Oh and she was changing her clothes herself. One of her new favorite passtimes is to see just how many outfits (mainly dresses) she can wear in one day!
