The American Folk Festival in Bangor
The American Folk Festival is well known and it is amazing we had something so cool in our town that we could walk to! People had come from all over to attend the festival and I can attest that there were a lot of people there! We went with our friends the Darcy's and the Davids/Rolfes. We had such an amazing time and the diversity in music was so cool. We attended the festival on Sat the 23rd and Sun the 24th for a little bit but I had to work Sunday night. We stayed for quite a while on Sat. and all of us had a great time doing some dancing too! The kids joined in of course and all the adults loved seeing the kids get into it. Fortunately the weather was beautiful; very warm in the sun buy breezy. Who knows maybe Carl will be able to participate next year!

The entrance to the festival.

All of us trying to decide which music to delve into. (Oh, and yes Carlo and Addison are in the strollers at 5 1/2 and 6!)

The water never gets old to the kids.

A view of the festival.

Hanging out on the rocks by the Penobscot.

This was one of the food stands that the kids got intrigued by (So did Tracy and I!) as we were leaving the festival. The guy at the stand was making lobsters dance! The look on Addison's face was priceless. Only in Maine!
